Stop discriminating mental health
Muscular Dystrophy Poses Mental Health Risks, so Care for Your Mind (musculardystrophynews.com)
I am going to start this new entry
by defining the word mental health,
Mental health is
often associated with a lot of stigma and discrimination, because no one believes
in it, people tent to see mental health as a disease that belong to the insane
people, but that is not true in fact that doesn’t matter because mental health is an integral and essential component of health. The WHO
constitution states: "Health is a state of complete physical, mental and
social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”, It is also
important to clarify that mental health is more than just the absence of mental
disorders or disabilities.
Talking about facts and how common are mental illnesses
the CDC says this illness is.
“the most common health condition in the united states and more that 50%
will be diagnosed with mental illness or disorder at some point in their lifetime;1 in 5 Americans will
experience a mental illness in a given year ;1 in 5 children, either currently
or at some point during their life, have had a seriously debilitating mental
illness; 1 in 25 Americans lives with a serious mental illness, such as
schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or major depression.” (CDC,2018)
According to what is explained
before since mental health is still a taboo around the world is important to
change this “bad” taboo into something that is more know and comprehensible by everybody
that’s why this topic should be more normalize and spoken to encourage the
people that is suffering metal health problem to find solutions and not to suppress
their feeling and get worse due to the lack of communication because they are
afraid to be judge by others, is important for them to know there is people out
there willing to help

Everybody that is
looking at this post need to know that there is not a single cause for this illness
there are a lot of factors that can
induce this illness such as trauma or history of abuse, experiences related to
ongoing or past medical conditions, biological factors the lack of fiends and
the feeling of loneliness, so if you are experience some of this factors don’t hesitate
to look for help and reach others that can understand your feelings, and if you
see that someone is suffering from this try to help instead of increasing the illness
that they are facing, i had an aunt that was suffering from this and is hard to
watch how a lot of people start to walk away from her (due to the lack of knowledge
and understatement of this problem) to the point that instead of getting better
she was getting worse to a never return situation.
